Room 1 are learning to make animations. Our animations are about ANZAC day. We are using play-doh for the people and other toys from home such as sylvanian families, polly pockets, barbies, lego etc. At the end of the session if we had play-doh we had to put it in a ice-cream container. We were scared it would dry out but one day we went to use it and... it was soggy!!! To a lot of people animations are new so we’ve learnt a lot from this super fun activity. It is taking longer than some expected because you have to do more than you expected such as designing the set, painting the set, making the people from play-doh, making the credits, taking all those pictures, bringing in props from home and HEAPS more. We have learnt heaps from the youtube videos like fps (frames per second) We have found out that the more fps the more smoother it will be. We hope that they turn out good!!!

It sounds like animations take a lot of planning and time to make. I'm sure that they will turn out really well. Are you going to share them on your blog or SPSTV or at an assembly? I'm looking forward to seeing the finished animations.
